Our Story
METRIN was developed by an American biochemist in 1932. Plagued with skin troubles of his own, he realized a need for a complete skincare program that didn’t simply address one skincare problem, but looked to improve the health of the skin as a whole to eliminate these symptoms. After years of research and testing, he successfully developed the perfect skincare program- a program that delivered results for all skin types, regardless of age; a program that helps the skin achieve and maintain its optimal condition by working harmoniously with the skin’s own natural system, delivering healthy, youthful and beautiful skin for life.
In the early days of METRIN’s development, the program was put through many different phases of testing. One of the individuals informally testing the product was so impressed with the wonderful effect it had on her skin that she would eventually purchase the company! Her name was Macil Sumpter, and although she didn’t create the formula, she is in many ways the mother of METRIN.
Macil’s easy charisma and personality drew many people in, and the truth of her age provided a humorous shock to new acquaintances well into her nineties. Macil’s clear, youthful face was her best proof of METRIN’s effectiveness, and using her own success story, she was able to build the legacy that has endured these past 80 years!
Though Macil passed away in the early nineties, we honour her memory by continuing her work: sharing the wonderful benefits of the METRIN Scientific Skincare Program with a new generation, and many more to come.
