Caroline Markós: A Beautiful Clear Complexion, Now and Forever

When you spend much of your life on stage, beautiful skin is a must-have. But the stress of that kind of life can also wreak havoc on your complexion, says aspiring opera soprano, Caroline Márkos.

This is why Caroline began using METRIN's Scientific Skincare Program. In 2001, she was touring heavily with an energetic jazz group, the Peters Drury Quartet. Being on stage night after night, her was face shellacked with a mask of heavy makeup that was baked right into her pores by the harsh lighting. Caroline’s skin was left in an irritated state of rage. She says it rebelled like an angry teenager and the after-effects were an excessively oily t-zone and parchment-like cheeks. Her travel schedule was essentially written on her face, Caroline explains. Every time she had a bad skin day, she says the last thing she wanted was to be on display in a room full of strangers belting out the songs of her sexy predecessors.

When Caroline was introduced to METRIN, she was eager for a product that could soothe her tortured complexion and restore her skin’s radiance; but not just any product would do. She recounts how, while waiting patiently in line at a coffee shop not long ago, a woman in line behind nudged her companion and directed her gaze towards Caroline. “Look at that girl’s skin,” she uttered unabashedly, as though Caroline were in fact made of porcelain and was not a living, breathing human.

But if this is the price you pay for having such flawless skin, Caroline has no problem with it.
